Autumn is here

The 22nd marked the coming of my favourite season, Autumn is here!

The colours of reds and oranges, the weather can be crappy and you can't complain because "hey! it's autumn" (and to be honest, it's not like we get much of a summer over here) and my birthday is just around the corner!

Luckily this weekend has been a lot more relaxed then last weekend, I've been on top of my college work now so I have been reaquainted with my good old friend "free time" we have fun together; it involves me seeing Emma, texting Dominic (yet, I did that anyway), drawing stuff that isn't for the gothic horror project, and generally just being lazy.

I'm having plans of making a new hat, with eyes, ears and teeth. I can't wait to see if I can make it. I love makings hats.

I'm also UBER excited about the new Tank Girl series starting in November! Written by good ol' Alan Martin and drawn by Rufus Dayglo (Who, unlike other tank girl artists i've seen, has a good tankgirly feel to it, yum!) Check out his blog here! http://rufusdayglo.blogspot.com/

It's my character's, Wizzie, 3rd creation birthday soon! So i've been drawing her lately.

Someone really cool said she thought I was cool today - how cool is that?

Caio for now.

Summer is ending.

So I'm back, I'm going to try to keep a regular update now I've started college.

So, summer? Long and slow, a lot of it now I'm starting to forget but there wasn't much to remember. visited new places, such as Istanbul and Rhodes, made new friends, slept a lot.

My favourite memory, was probably still in June. Emma's Birthday.

But also, going on the cruise.

and meeting Sophie in person for the first time.

But now the summer is ending and I have started college everythings picking up from the sluggish vibe of the summer, I have loads of artwork to do in class, I actually see the mornings now to catch an hours ride college bus and I've grown accostumed to the days of the week again.

Not only this, but I've met the coolest of people at art college which is small and friendly. I feel accepted by everyone, I have a laugh and I fell in love.

But finally, have a recent image that I've drawn. because I've just spammed you with my life in photos. I'll be sure to be updating the blog with more stuff about my college life and art.

ciao for now. xx

Children were children.

In school, trying to get back into the swing of updating again.

Being constantly reminded that I have 2 months left in school and then I'm kicked out into the real world. I have no idea what world I have apparently been living in but apparently it is not the real world, I have been living in some deluded fantasy of childhood - apparently. I wish that was the case but it seems that my generation, some before me and all after, grow up to quick under the eyes of the media. We have to look pretty, we have to look cool, we accept the adult behaviour on the TV. I was looking for referneces of little girls for 'A girl like Frog' and noticed that all the clothes (3 months - 5 years) were minature versions of clothes that look like they should be for older teenagers just shrunk in the dryer. I accept that this is the way of the 21st century and I can not reminise in the past that I was not a part of, but one of my biggest desires to write 'A girl like Frog' is to go back to the stories when children were children, and the children didn't have to wear designer labels.
