Autumn is here

The 22nd marked the coming of my favourite season, Autumn is here!

The colours of reds and oranges, the weather can be crappy and you can't complain because "hey! it's autumn" (and to be honest, it's not like we get much of a summer over here) and my birthday is just around the corner!

Luckily this weekend has been a lot more relaxed then last weekend, I've been on top of my college work now so I have been reaquainted with my good old friend "free time" we have fun together; it involves me seeing Emma, texting Dominic (yet, I did that anyway), drawing stuff that isn't for the gothic horror project, and generally just being lazy.

I'm having plans of making a new hat, with eyes, ears and teeth. I can't wait to see if I can make it. I love makings hats.

I'm also UBER excited about the new Tank Girl series starting in November! Written by good ol' Alan Martin and drawn by Rufus Dayglo (Who, unlike other tank girl artists i've seen, has a good tankgirly feel to it, yum!) Check out his blog here! http://rufusdayglo.blogspot.com/

It's my character's, Wizzie, 3rd creation birthday soon! So i've been drawing her lately.

Someone really cool said she thought I was cool today - how cool is that?

Caio for now.

Summer is ending.

So I'm back, I'm going to try to keep a regular update now I've started college.

So, summer? Long and slow, a lot of it now I'm starting to forget but there wasn't much to remember. visited new places, such as Istanbul and Rhodes, made new friends, slept a lot.

My favourite memory, was probably still in June. Emma's Birthday.

But also, going on the cruise.

and meeting Sophie in person for the first time.

But now the summer is ending and I have started college everythings picking up from the sluggish vibe of the summer, I have loads of artwork to do in class, I actually see the mornings now to catch an hours ride college bus and I've grown accostumed to the days of the week again.

Not only this, but I've met the coolest of people at art college which is small and friendly. I feel accepted by everyone, I have a laugh and I fell in love.

But finally, have a recent image that I've drawn. because I've just spammed you with my life in photos. I'll be sure to be updating the blog with more stuff about my college life and art.

ciao for now. xx

Exams

Sorry for the lack of update people! exams exams!

Monday 29 March 2010

Children were children.

In school, trying to get back into the swing of updating again.

Being constantly reminded that I have 2 months left in school and then I'm kicked out into the real world. I have no idea what world I have apparently been living in but apparently it is not the real world, I have been living in some deluded fantasy of childhood - apparently. I wish that was the case but it seems that my generation, some before me and all after, grow up to quick under the eyes of the media. We have to look pretty, we have to look cool, we accept the adult behaviour on the TV. I was looking for referneces of little girls for 'A girl like Frog' and noticed that all the clothes (3 months - 5 years) were minature versions of clothes that look like they should be for older teenagers just shrunk in the dryer. I accept that this is the way of the 21st century and I can not reminise in the past that I was not a part of, but one of my biggest desires to write 'A girl like Frog' is to go back to the stories when children were children, and the children didn't have to wear designer labels.

Today itself was nothing to special, it was a reasonably quick, easy day that I enjoyed I had a fun with the bezzers, I love them so much.

Skipper cheers me up a lots, x

The best wish ever

You're going to have to click it.

Light that spills

Hmm... 12oClock was Chemistry.....Nahhhh, Do it tommorow.

Best friend (Emma-Louise Joyce Vallely ;D) is coming over at 1 for a cup of tea. It's a nice looking day outside, but it's most likely quite cold, the light is really nice for taking photographs because it's that creamy yellow light that spills through the blinds.

Anyway, Here is a drawing I'm working on from my diary. Inspired by last spring when I was working at the garden centre (£20 a day wasn't bad). However it wasn't just for the money, I loved being surronded by beautiful flowers, Nemesias and Lupins were my absulote favourite flowers there, There was also I magnicifant yellow-flowered feild opposite where I worked, amazingly sceneic.

Speaking of the yellow light, I took a photo of my new hair cut and editted it on photoshop. Pretty me! haha.

Time managment.

Today is all about time management! As I'm busy and may aswell at least try getting things out of the way. I wonder how well I shall fare...

Today:
9am: Get up. Changed. Hour on laptop.
10am: Do housework
11:30: Cup of tea time.

12:00: Chemistry

1:00: Laptop
2:00: Lunch/Laptop/wrap presents

3:00 ICT

Today is frosty outside so I blinded myself when I looked out of the window, better then the snow we had yesterday though.

Scarf surprise!

Mum came home with a new scarf for me! what a lovely surprise.

Do unicorns where kardigans when it's cold?

Went down town and got mum a willow tree figure to match with the one I got her for christmas. :) And some sweet birthday cards for Mum and Dad (already have Daniels).
On our travels Emma and I stopped at Oxfam, where she bought me (for 99p) a toy unicorn which is happily perched on my shelf <3 <3 I bought myself a lovely cream kardigan for £1.99

And Here is a cute photo of Daisy I took yesterday in the bathroom.

Thank you for the reminder, dearest :)

My interveiw went well enough for me to get accepted, my left-handedness got in the way sometimes but it wasn't anything I could not handle. I shall be going to do the Interactive Media/TV and Film course at the Cleveland College of Art and Design - I am incrediablly excited. Though Mum kills that excitment by saying ' Well now we just need to get you through your GSCE's' . Thank you for the reminder, dearest. :)

Got my hair cut this morning, so it ment I had to get out of bed earlier then I have done this week at a daunting 7:45am, but I rest assure you I am still alive.

I am treking through the sleet (more snow! gah!!) down town to go shopping for delightful presents and cards, for my entire family decided they would be born on the same week, (21st, 24th, 26th) and I should be born in October.

Here are two pictures I did yesterday:

Interveiw : )

Today is the day I have my CCAD interveiw so I'm rather excited, Skipper is pretty confident that I'll get on board the course of interactive media/TV and Film and hopefully he's right. My interveiw isnt' for a few hours so I have plenty of time to prepare not that there's not much to prepare for I already have a portfolio busting it's gut with drawings and sketches of my mind.

I'm quickly doing some "english revision" (which concerns me going over some stupid book rather quickly) to please my parents, I was supposed to do a lot of revision this week, and I have...n't. But Ah well, I'll be okay. Oh that reminds me, I've got to do that ICT coursework, Ah, I'll do it tommorow. Where's my sticky notes.

Anyway, here as some last minute additions to my portfolio that I did last night and this morning:
